The 1st Dufour Sailing Cup, held in Athens in November 2023, was a tremendous success. Bringing together passionate sailors, Dufour owners, and enthusiasts from around the world, the event showcased the very best of sailing spirit and camaraderie. With excellent weather conditions and a stunning backdrop, participants enjoyed a competitive yet friendly atmosphere. The Dufour Sailing Cup not only celebrated the love of sailing but also highlighted Dufour’s commitment to the yachting community, setting the stage for even more memorable events in the future.

Attracting the Next Generation to Sailing

One of the primary goals of the Dufour Sailing Cup is to attract the younger generation to the world of sailing. Through engaging activities, and sailing experiences aboard a Dufour Yacht, we aim to ignite a passion for sailing in the hearts of the youth. The event will serve as a bridge between tradition and innovation, encouraging young sailors to embrace the thrill of the open sea.

Building the Community of Dufour Yacht Owners

The Dufour Sailing Cup is not just a race; it's a celebration of community. With a focus on Greece's up and coming Western regions , Synergy Yacht Sales envisions strengthening the community of Dufour yacht owners. Networking opportunities, social events, and collaborative discussions will form the core of the cup, fostering lasting connections and friendships among sailing enthusiasts and the Dufour shipyard.

Dufour History

Founded in 1964 on France's Atlantic Coast, Dufour Yachts celebrates 60 years of innovation, craftsmanship, and a commitment to sailing excellence. Its story began when Michel Dufour, an engineer, recognized the potential of fiberglass for boat construction, leading to rapid growth and over 400 boats sold within the first decade. Now one of the world’s largest shipyards, with a 18,000 m² facility and 420 employees, Dufour is known for its distinctive design and engineering. In 2020, a new chapter began with Fountaine Pajot's partnership, ushering in more advancements. The shipyard launched two models in 2023: the Dufour 37, awarded “Best Boat of the Year” by SAIL magazine, and the Dufour 41, continuing the brand's legacy of excellence and innovation in sailing.
