01 — Overview

Hawaiian hull, Aegean day boat

The Molokai line takes its hull form from the craft that work the channels between the Hawaiian islands, where a short steep sea is the normal condition rather than the bad day. On the 28 that means slender bows, a high tunnel between the hulls, and the highest tunnel clearance in her class — so she lands softly and stays quiet at trolling speed, which is when hull slap matters most.

She is a fishing platform first. Two insulated fish boxes with macerator pump-outs, a thirty-gallon livewell, tackle lockers to hand, and a full walkaround deck with a central door through the transom for access to the water. The console opens forward for storage and takes an optional toilet.

At 2.96 metres on the beam she trailers, and Category B offshore certification for eight covers the run out to the islands and back.
