Tournament chops, stateroom comfort

The flagship of Aquila’s Offshore range, and the first centre console of its kind. Until the 47 Molokai, a boat with the speed, ride and fishability for an overnight run to the canyons offered little more than a bunk in the console; this one answers with an air-conditioned cabin, a queen berth and a full head with shower behind a lockable pantograph door.

Double-stepped hulls with carbon fibre bulkheads and a carbon hardtop deliver the ride, while high tunnel clearance gives an air cushion that quietens the boat when trolling. Tournament-grade throughout — 360-degree walkaround, sixteen gunnel rod holders, twin pressurised transom livewells and over 4,200 litres of fishbox — and with seating for seventeen she still runs a family day out.

Propulsion optionsTwin Mercury V12 600 HP as standard, or quad V10 400 HP or 425 HP — 400R and 500R packages on request. Joystick piloting with Skyhook is standard, and a transfer system lets both engines draw from either hull’s 524-gallon tank.
